Easiest GPS Fleet Tracking Installation by geomoto

This is a video for a friend of mine with his fleet tracking startup business www.geomoto.com. They provide a GPS tracking service for small to medium size fleets with a very easy install. As part of the service geomoto provides web-based GPS tracking software coupled with Google Maps with access to satellite view to see exactly where your vehicles are. The GPS device installation is the simplest I’ve seen with not antennas or special mounting required. It uses the OBD port of the vehicle to power the device.

GPS tracking commercial flight / Google Earth

I tracked my trip from Helsinki to Paris through my cell phone GPS and surprisingly the batteries lasted enough! (Note: cell phone networks were disabled -flight mode- ensuring a longer battery life… and the full respect of the rules during takeoff and landing :-) Time, speed, altitude and distance can be clearly seen: liftoff by 215km/h, cruise at 800-900km/h, long approach at 300-400km/h, landing by 240km/h – of course we talk about ground speed here. Cruise altitude (10km) was not kept that long after all. Needless to say, satellite fix is perfect (up to 12 satellites acquired at some point) – but only because I was next to the window… The whole trip coordinates being recorded, a quick view from Google Earth is given at the end of the video.
